MTV Lebanon’s Chairman and CEO, Michel Gabriel El Murr, has been granted once again a commemorative award, however this time the initiative was Australian.
The ceremony held at the Australian Government headquarters in Melbourne, and led by Australian deputy premier Ben Carroll, aimed to recognize El Murr’s leadership and its ongoing contribution to strengthen the relations between the two countries.
Carroll praised Chairman El Murr for the role that he, along with the station, is playing to ensure the continuity of Journalism as a profession, and as a voice of freedom and truth.
It is important to note that this is not the first time that MTV gets recognized outside the Lebanese lands, especially in Australia, where Patriarch Rahi highlighted the station’s role in shedding light on the truth and maintaining its principles, most importantly freedom.
Patriarch Rahi confirmed during his visit in Sydney that he only watches MTV among the television stations, and “we share many principles, the most important of which is freedom”.
