Lebanese Forces Party Chief Samir Geagea met today in Maarab with the Renewal of the Homeland Movement, headed by President of the Economic, Social and Environmental Council Charles Arbid in the presence of a member of the Strong Republic bloc, MP George Okais.
After the meeting, Arbid said the visit came to brief Geagea on the atmosphere of the first political paper by the Movement which represents the beginning of permanent cooperation with the “Lebanese Forces” in order to reach a unified discourse in Lebanon, especially among Christians.
Arbid announced common points in the political vision of the Lebanese Forces party and the “Movement” explaining that today's meeting revolved around various political and economic developments and mutual social, financial and daily living concerns.
He also stressed that “meetings will continue between the two teams and communication will continue through MP Okais for the benefit of Lebanon.”
The LF Chief also met today, in the presence of MP Okais, with the President of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture in Lebanon, former Minister Mohamed Choucair, with whom he reviewed the political developments on the regional and Lebanese arenas, and the deteriorating economic crisis and its repercussions on the productive sectors and the people’s livelihood.
