The Constitutional Council issued on Wednesday the following statement:
"June 6 is the deadline for the submission of appeals to the Constitutional Council over the results of the parliamentary elections, as per the law that stipulates an appeal period of 30 days following the date of announcement of the election results, provided that the appeal is personally signed by the appellant or by a lawyer expressly authorized to submit the appeal through an attached proxy drafted by the notary public.
"Since the parliamentary elections took place in all districts on 6 May 2018 and since the final results were officially submitted by the Interior Minister to the President of the Constitutional Council on 7 May 2018, the deadline for submission of appeals shall accordingly be June 6, 2018," the statement read.
