The following lines tell a true story about Fairuz that happened years ago in Canada.
During the Civil War, a Lebanese family fled to Canada to settle there. One night, as they sat in their new home listening to Fairuz's songs and reminiscing about their country, a Canadian man broke into their garden and stood outside their door. Then, he got closer to the window and attentively stared at the family. Terrified, they immediately called the police especially that they did not feel safe in a country other than their own.
The police came and arrested the man. During the investigation, a Canadian policeman asked him what was he doing in the backyard of the family's home. The man shouted, "I didn't do anything! I didn't do anything!"
The policeman interrogated him again. And the man said, "Honestly, I was taking a stroll nearby and suddenly I heard a melodic and angelic voice. A voice that intrigued me to the point that I had to get closer and know who was the woman behind it!"
