Social Affairs Minister, Richard Kouyoumjian, on Monday welcomed in his ofice at the Ministry the U.N. resident and humanitarian Coordinator for Lebanon, Philippe Lazzarini, who came on a courtesy visit to congratulate him on the formation of the new government.
Talks reportedly touched on the work of the international organizations in Lebanon and the role of donor countries in supporting and cooperating with the Ministry in humanitarian dossiers.
Discussions focused on projects aimed at supporting host communities in Lebanon.
Minister Kouyoumjian dwelt on prospects of cooperation and assistance in devising a social strategy for the Lebanese, especially the underprivileged and most needy segments of society.
