Health Minister Jamil Jabak said he gained Lebanese confidence through his commitment to transparency in the work of the Ministry of Health, surpassing international and US concerns over his acquiring the health portfolio.
In an interview with the Associated Press, the minister added that Hezbollah has guaranteed the non-influence of US sanctions on the Ministry of Health, by an agreement reached with the President of the Republic on the appointment of a minister of health trusted by the party, but not a party member.
Jabak said he will work to realize the dream of providing comprehensive medical coverage to all the Lebanese.
He stressed that his efforts are in favor of all the Lebanese, denying the media reports that he was the private doctor of the secretary general of Hezbollah, Sayed Hassan Nasrallah, noting that he had not had this honor.
