Deputy House Speaker, Elie Ferzli, said on Monday that the budget had reduced the fiscal deficit but lacked a comprehensive economic plan, which is pressingly required for the development of the national economy.
"The state budget will see the light soon. It will be accompanied by bills that could pave the way for an economic plan that will manage the national crises away from any politicization," Ferzli told the Voice of Lebanon radio station.
He finally noted that he was optimistic about a better economic future, but he criticized the protests and strikes that took place whilst protesters were oblivious to the content of the state budget.
