Lebanese President Michel Aoun received Saturday at the Beiteddine Palace in the Chouf area, a number of MPs and popular delegations.
Aoun assured the delegations that "nothing will shake the reconciliation in the Mountain and that the government will do its utmost to bring Lebanon out of the current situation", calling on Lebanese officials to join their efforts and to agree to work for the reconstruction of Lebanon.
For his part, MP Farid Boustani, who headed the Chouf delegation, welcomed President Aoun in Beiteddine, deeming that his presence in this region gives a great impetus to reconciliation and national unity in the Mountain.
"Lebanese Forces" parliamentary bloc member, Georges Adwan, who also met with the President on top of a delegation, stressed the importance of Aoun's presence in the heart of Chouf District. He considered that the strength of Lebanon lies in the unity of the Mountain.
The MP also assured that "the Lebanese Forces are working to consolidate inter-Druze reconciliation so that the state remains strong, effective and capable."
"Certainly, the difficult financial and economic conditions have a negative impact on the Mountain. A fact that requires a priority in the development of infrastructure and the establishment of hospitals in the area, "he concluded.
