Qatar Announces Release of 39 Palestinian Prisoners as Part of Hostage Deal

Qatar foreign ministry spokesperson Majed al-Ansari announces that 39 Palestinian women and minors who were detained in Israeli jails have been released in line with Israel’s commitments to the truce.

They are expected to return to the West Bank and east Jerusalem.

It is the first group of a total 150 detainees expected to be freed in the coming days.
