Minister of National Defense, Maurice Slim, followed up Saturday on the issue of the delay of the Minister of Finance Youssef El-Khalil in paying the salaries of retired soldiers.

El-Khalil explained that "the delay is due to the lack of funds necessary to pay the rights in full and on time, and that this matter will be resolved and that the delay in payment will not exceed ten days," stressing that this delay will not reoccur.
