The Syrian army installed barbed wire along the borders between Lebanon and Syria in the vicinity of Metraba crossing adjacent to al-Qaser village, to ban pedestrian activity across said borders.
The movement activity of residents of neighboring villages has become restricted to the legal crossings, notably Jousa crossing adjacent to the town of Al-Qaa, thus placing burdens on the mobility of Lebanese residing in the Syrian border villages, including dozens of employees.
The region's dignitaries renewed demand for an official legal crossing.
