The extensive official talks between Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati, President of Cyprus Nikos Christodoulides, and President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen have kicked off at the Grand Serail.
Attendees on the Lebanese side are Foreign Minister Abdallah Bou Habib, Defense Minister Maurice Sleem, Interior Minister Bassam Mawlawi, Head of the Foreign Affairs and Emigrants House Committee MP Fadi Alama, Army Commander General Joseph Aoun, Lebanon's Ambassador to the European Union Fadi Hage Ali, Director General of the Presidency of the Republic Antoine Choucair, Internal Security Forces, chief Major General Imad Othman, General Security chief Major General Elias Baissari, and PM's advisors Boutros Assaker and Ziad Mikati.
Attending on the Cypriot side are Foreign Minister Constantinos Kombos, Interior Minister Konstantinos Ioannou, Cypriot Ambassador to Lebanon Maria Hadjitheodosiou, Cypriot government spokesperson Konstantinos Letymbiotis, and chief of Cyprus Intelligence Service Tasos Tzionis.
The European delegation comprises Head of the European Union's Delegation to Lebanon Sandra De Waele, and Diplomatic Advisor to the President of the European Commission Fernando Andresen Guimaraes.
