Rafic Hariri Hospital: 3 new coronavirus cases, 16 quarantined

Rafic Hariri University Hospital announced on Saturday, in its daily report on the latest developments regarding the emerging coronavirus, that it had received "during the past 24 hours, 33 cases in the emergency unit designated to receive cases suspected of being infected with the disease, all of whom were subjected to the necessary medical tests, whereby 16 of them had to be admitted to the quarantine section based on the assessment of the supervising doctor, while the rest adhered to home quarantine."
"Laboratory tests were conducted over 57 cases, 54 of which were negative and 3 positive," the Hospital report indicated.
It also disclosed that "17 cases that were held in quarantine were released today, after recommending that they remain under home quarantine, providing them with all the necessary instructions and means of protection according to the directions of the World Health Organization, and after they were examined twice for the coronavirus and the result was negative in both times."
The Hospital report continued to indicate that 33 cases are currently present in the quarantine section, noting that their laboratory test results came out negative.
"The Rafic Hariri University Hospital admitted three new cases to the quarantine section for treatment on Saturday, the first being the wife of the patient infected with the emerging coronavirus of Iranian nationality, and the other two cases being the son and friend of the patient infected with the disease of Syrian nationality," the Hospital report went on.
"The health condition of the first two cases infected with the coronavirus is still stable, and they are in the isolation unit receiving the necessary treatment. As for the patient with the emerging coronavirus of Iranian nationality, an elderly who suffers from chronic diseases, his condition is unstable and is currently receiving the required treatment," the report concluded.
