Berri: We will suspend our Cabinet representation if its stance towards expatriates remains the same

House Speaker Nabih Berri issued a statement Saturday on the situation of the stranded Lebanese abroad, warning that he will suspend his Bloc's representation in the government should its position vis-a-vis Lebanese emigrants remain unchanged.

Berri highlighted the pressing nature of this matter, reminding of the importance of the emigrants' sector and the valuable contributions of the Lebanese Diaspora to its mother country; thus, stressing the state's duty to stand by the Lebanese abroad in these challenging circumstances.
