An initiative launched by a young Lebanese, Karim Adaimi, student at IESE University in Barcelona, and with the help of his friends Jenifer Zouein, Jessica Saade, Garine Arabian and Ali Moughnieh, organized a one week trip to Lebanon.
Since his arrival to Barcelona in 2020, Karim never missed an opportunity to promote the beauty of his beloved Lebanon and the welcoming nature of his people.
He even had a TedEx talk at his university “Picking Up the Pieces” and chose the title: “Beirut will rise again”.
All this encouraged his foreign classmates to come to Lebanon despite the difficult situation.
More than 80 students joined the voyage. These young men and women come from more than 20 different countries all over the World: Spain, Italy, Portugal, Germany, Austria, USA, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Australia, India, Singapore, Philippines and much more.
In one week they visited almost all touristic destinations: Baalbeck, Jeita, the Cedars, Quadisha valley, Byblos, Batroun, Tyr, Saida, Beiteddine, Tannourine, Ammiq, without forgetting sunset drinks by the beach and the night parties in Beirut.
These young foreigners were amazed by Lebanon, the nature, the history, the cuisine and the generosity of the people; and as they wrote in the farewell booklet that this unforgettable and exceptional trip exceeded by far their expectations.
All this effort and organization was accomplished by those 5 young Lebanese students alone without the help of anyone.
The passion and the love for their country drove them to do this touristic trip thinking that it will give a boost to the economy and hoping that their foreign classmates will become ambassadors for Lebanon each in his hometown and hence encourage others to come for a visit.
