Lebanese Presidency: Cabinet is considered resigned starting the Parliament’s term tomorrow

The General Directorate of the Presidency of the Lebanese Republic issued the following statement on Saturday:
“Pursuant to provisions of Clause 1 of Article 69 of the Constitution related to cases in which the government is considered to have resigned, especially the provisions of Paragraph E of the aforementioned item.
In view of the commencement of the mandate of the new Parliament tomorrow, 22/5/2022, the President of the Republic expressed his thanks to the Prime Minister and the ministers, and asked the Cabinet to conduct business until a new government is formed.
