11 كانون الثاني 2018 19:00
The Lebanese government, through the Consulate General of Lebanon in New York, and in cooperation and coordination with the Ministry of Culture, the General Directorate of Antiquities and the United States judicial authorities, has managed to return to Lebanon three stolen antiquities which have been kept for 37 years in the United States.
The delivery of those artifacts will be made tomorrow, Friday January 12, 2018. They will arrive at Rafic Hariri International Airport aboard an Air France plane coming from New York City.
The efforts exerted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs through its mission in New York to ensure the restoration of these pieces confirm the great importance attached by the Ministry to the dossier of stolen and lost Lebanese monuments, and its keenness to finding and restoring them out of belief in the need to preserve the cultural and civilizational heritage of Lebanon.
