Aoun, Hariri to participate in upcoming Arab League Summit in Riyadh

President Michel Aoun, initiated the cabinet session held in Baabda by congratulating mothers on Mother's day, praising the role of Lebanese mothers and saluting their sacrifices.
President Aoun briefed ministers on the main meetings he held with foreign delegates and representatives of international organizations during their visits to Lebanon over the past two weeks, pointing out that he raised with them "the financial, economic, social, health and security implications of the Syrian refugees living in difficult circumstances.
"We also underlined the importance of securing their return to safe areas, and not waiting for a peaceful solution in Syria to resolve this return," Aoun stressed.
The President also tackled the "Israeli violations of Lebanese sovereignty and the need to adopt Lebanon as a center for the dialogue of civilizations, religions, races and cultures."
President Aoun spoke of the "Rome II" conference, thanking the Italian State for "hosting and sponsoring it," and praising the countries which participated in it, especially those that contributed directly or indirectly to the support of the army and the security forces."
"The Cedar conference will be an opportunity to reaffirm international support for Lebanon," Aoun added, noting that he would participate, along with Premier Saad Hariri, in the Arab League Summit scheduled for April 15 in Riyadh.
