House Speaker, Nabih Berri, on Wednesday stressed that what should be regretted is Lebanon's failure to face Libya over the disappearance of Imam Moussa Sadr and his comrades, and not Libya's absence from the Beirut's Arab economic summit as expressed by Prime Minister-designate, Saad Hariri, earlier today.
Speaking at the Arab Private Sector Forum at Beirut's Union of Arab Chambers today, Hariri expressed "deep regret for the absence of the Libyan delegation from this meeting."
Responding to Hariri, Berri issued a statement saying: "The regret, all the regret, is not for the absence of the Libyan delegation, but for the absence of the Lebanese delegation in facing the major offense committed against Lebanon for more than 4 decades."
