Lebanon's Ambassador to Romania, Rana Mokaddem held a reception on Saturday afternoon in honor of Maronite Patriarch Bechara Rahi at the Lebanese Embassy in Bucharest.
In her welcoming word, Mokaddem expressed her joy for the Patriarch's visit to Romania, saying: "His Beatitude's presence among us is a blessing, and support for the effective presence of all Lebanese residing in Romania."
The Lebanese Ambassador presented the Patriarch with the icon of the "Group of Saints with Virgin Mary," as a token of appreciation and remembrance.
In turn, Patriarch Rahi said he was delighted to be present with the Lebanese community "that is active in developing Romania at all levels, and reacting to its belonging to a new homeland that links them to their motherland, Lebanon."
He presented the Lebanese Ambassador with the Patriarchal Medal, considering that "Lebanon's expatriate image reflects its true beauty." He hoped that "this beauty would also be reflected in Lebanon's interior with the help of those entrusted with its policy and those who believe in it."
