Economy Minister launches volunteer course for consumer protection: Municipalities have powers to monitor market

Minister of Economy and Trade, Raoul Nehme, launched on Thursday at the headquarters of Al-Hadath Municipality, a training course for volunteers to support consumer protection.

Nehme praised municipalities' cooperation with the Ministry of Economy and Trade in monitoring the markets, knowing that they have extensive powers in this area."

"We are ready to train personnel from all municipalities to help us protect the consumer in the current circumstances," he said, thanking the volunteers for their sense of national responsibility and their vital role in suppressing fraud and monopoly, and implementing the consumer protection law.
