Is The Beetles Infestation in Lebanon Harmful to Our Health?

The Director of the Agricultural Scientific Research Department, Michel Frem stated, in an interview with MTV, on Saturday that “the beetles infestation in Lebanon is harmless and we have seen a similar incident last year. It does not affect human health and these insects gather around lights.”

“It is best not to kill these insects with pesticides because they are beneficial and eat animals that harm crops”, he added.
