Parliament approves draft law to subject all recipients of government subsidies to forensic audit

The Lebanese Parliament approved on Wednesday a draft law to subject all recipients of government subsidies to US dollars or its equivalent in foreign currencies to external forensic audit.
It also approved adding a paragraph to Article 6 of Law No. 194/2020 protecting the areas affected by the Beirut explosion and supporting their reconstruction.
The Parliament also passed the law that binds insurance companies operating in Lebanon to cover parts of the insurance contracts in fresh money.
