Baabda meeting agrees on policy of subsidizing medications and medical supplies

The Lebanese Presidency announced on Thursday that "it was agreed during Baabda meeting to continue the policy of subsidizing medications, supplies, and medical implants within an applied mechanism that notes the priorities set by the Health Ministry in accordance with the rationalization plan submitted by the Prime Minister to the Parliament, and on the need to subsidize the national pharmaceutical industries in coordination between the Health Ministry and the Syndicate of Pharmaceutical Industries."

An exceptional approval will be issued later by the President and the Prime Minister to establish the continuation of the policy of subsidizing medications, supplies, and medical implants.
