MTV Website: The judiciary refers forgers of a bank document attributed to Kanaan

MTV has been informed that, based on the referral of the Public Prosecutor at the Court of Cassation (No. 6380/2020), the public prosecution service at the Court of Appeal (Claim No. 6650/2021) has filed a claim against an unknown person that a bank document attributed to MP Ibrahim Kanaan had been forged and included the false transfer of funds abroad, in addition to slander and defamation. The suspects and those part of the investigation have been referred to Beirut's First Investigative Judge, in accordance with Articles 471, 471/454, 386 and 388 of the Penal Code.
