Diab welcomes Valenciano, Tarraf and accompanying delegation

Caretaker Prime Minister, Hassan Diab, received at the Grand Serail on Tuesday the former chief observer of the European Union Election Observation Mission to Lebanon, Elena Valenciano, who was in charge of observing 2018 parliamentary elections, accompanied by the Ambassador of the European Union, Ralph Tarraf, Deputy Head of Democracy and Election Monitoring Department at the European Foreign Services, Fabrice Varier, Political Affairs officer, Hannah Severin, elections expert, Jose Antonio de Gabriel, and legal expert, Naledi Laster.
On the Lebanese side, Deputy Prime Minister Zeina Akar, Interior Minister Mohammad Fahmi, PM Office Head Judge Khaled Akkari, and PM Adviser for Diplomatic Affairs Ambassador Gebran Soufan attended the meeting.
The interlocutors broached measures taken in the context of implementing the recommendations of the European Union Election Observation Mission that took place in 2018.
