Ahmed al-Assir sentenced to 20 years in prison with hard labor

The Permanent Military Court, chaired by Brigadier General Mounir Chehade, sentenced on Monday Sheikh Ahmed al-Assir to 20 years in prison with hard labor and stripped him of his civil rights with a fine of LBP 51 million, for his involvement in the attack on a Lebanese army patrol in Bhanine - Minieh and the killing of two servicemen.
