Weekend's weather in Lebanon: Rainy, snow at 1500 m

Saturday’s weather is expected to be cloudy in general with lower temperatures and fog on heights. Light sporadic rain will become heavy in the afternoon, especially in the southern part of the country and in the interior. Lightning, thunder, active winds and snowfall starting 1500 meters altitude are also expected. The weather will gradually improve as of Saturday evening, according to Beirut’s airport-based meteorology department.

Mountainous temperatures: 6 to 13 degrees Celsius

Inland temperatures: 4 to 11 degrees Celsius

Surface winds: Northeasterly, with winds gusting between 10 and 30 km/hr

Visibility: Good 

Coastal humidity: 70 to 40%

Sea: Medium waves, with surface water temperature at 18 degrees Celsius
