The Daily Mail published the following article:

Sofia Vergara hit her Golden Buzzer for an all-female empowering dance group from Lebanon called the Mayyas on Tuesday night's two-hour America's Got Talent on NBC sending them straight on to the live show.

'I would be so honored to empower you even more in this journey because you deserve it,' Sofia, 49, said right before she hit the buzzer. 'I want to be part of this!'

The women jumped up and down as gold confetti rained down on them. Sofia went to the stage and hugged them.

The Mayyas told the judges before they performed that their group name meant 'the proud walk of lionesses' in Arabic.

They also shared that it was difficult to be a dancer as a female Arab. The women, who all wore beaded veils and black wigs, said they wanted to prove to the world what an Arab woman could do.

Before they began, the dancers said they wanted to hypnotize the judges with their synchronized routine and asked them to sit closer together. Then the Mayyas lined up in a single line and used their hands and feathers to create an amazing visual illusion and then danced in unison across the stage.

'There are no words to explain to you what we were feeling over here,' Sofia said. 'It was the most beautiful creative dancing I've ever seen.'

'We were hypnotized by what you did,' Howie Mandel, 66, said.

'This really will make a difference full stop in so many positive ways,' Simon Cowell, 62, said. 'It was arguably the best dance act.'
