Lebanese army: Arrest of wanted individuals, seizing of Captagon factory in Brital

The Lebanese Army Command - Orientation Directorate issued on Monday the following statement: "On 10/10/2022, an army unit with the support of the Air Force raided the homes of wanted individuals in the town of Brital, during which an exchange of fire took place resulting in the arrest of 4 citizens and the killing of another, as all are wanted under arrest warrants for charges of drug manufacturing, drug trafficking and car theft."
"A Captagon laboratory, drug manufacturing equipment, weapons and ammunition, and a number of stolen vehicles were also seized during the army raid," the statement added, "which were all handed-over to the concerned sides as investigations began with the arrested individuals under the supervision of the specialized judiciary."
