The Israeli army announced that it had carried out dozens of ground operations in southern Lebanon, according to its statement.
Israeli army spokesperson Daniel Hagari stated in a second video briefing today that "Israeli forces uncovered tunnels and weapons belonging to Hezbollah during these operations."
He also claimed that "Israeli forces discovered plans for an incursion into the Galilee in some of these tunnels." He presented a video recorded by Israeli soldiers in a tunnel beneath a house in the Lebanese town of Kfar Kila, according to him.
Additionally, he noted that "the Israeli army struck more than 700 Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon and conducted dozens of targeted airstrikes on combat complexes belonging to the party to damage the capabilities of the Radwan Force and prevent it from carrying out operations that harm Israelis." He added that "they raided interconnected villages and areas, breached gates and underground tunnels along the border, and uncovered weapons caches."
He also confirmed that "Israeli forces collected valuable intelligence, destroyed advanced Iranian vehicles and weapons, as well as Hezbollah's infrastructure." He continued that "the army is working to undermine the party's capabilities and remove it from the border area so that residents of the north can safely return to their homes."
He emphasized that the ground operation in Lebanon will be completed as soon as possible.
