Defense Minister meets UN's Lacroix

Caretaker Defense Minister Maurice Sleem met with Undersecretary-General for Peace Operations at the United Nations Jean-Pierre Lacroix, in the presence of UNIFIL Commander, Major General Aroldo Lazaro, and an accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, Sleem expressed appreciation for the "UNIFIL positions and sacrifices in light of the Israeli attacks on its sites."
He reiterated Lebanon's attachment to the peacekeeping mission's presence in Lebanon.
He stressed that commitment to UN Resolution 1701 is the solid ground for any solution.
