Watch: Nawaf Salam Committed to 24/7 Cooperation

The meeting between Prime Minister-designate Nawaf Salam and Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri at the second presidential palace in Ain el-Tineh has ended. Salam stated, "His Excellency the Parliament Speaker and I are reading from the same book, which is the Constitution, and I will remain in constant contact with President Berri until the government is formed."
He explained that "The parliamentary consultations continued today, as there was a consensus among the blocs on the urgent need to revive the country and work towards its rescue, and I am committed to this mission."
He emphasized that "I am committed to working on reform and rescue 24/7, and will not tolerate any obstruction or failure in the government formation," adding, "I have an initial proposal that I will present to His Excellency, President Joseph Aoun."
