The Ministry of Information, in collaboration with UNESCO and the International Organization of La Francophonie, organized a three-day training session on combatting fake news.

The workshop, held at the National News Agency’s training center, aimed to equip NNA correspondents with tools for verifying misinformation.

Minister of Information Paul Morcos inspected the session alongside UNESCO’s Media and Communications Officer George Awad, and NNA Director Ziad Harfouche.

Morcos emphasized the importance of reviewing the workshop’s findings and recommendations in an official report to enhance fact-checking efforts.

The newly appointed Minister further stated that he was conducting a comprehensive review of media-related issues before making policy decisions, stressing the need for a careful and well-informed approach to media reform. “Development takes time, but I am open to all suggestions,” Morcos assured.
