Interior Minister’s office denies reports of municipal elections postponement

The media office of Interior and Municipalities Minister, Brigadier General Ahmed Hajar, issued a statement denying reports of a technical delay in municipal and mayoral elections.
“A news website, citing an official administrative source, claimed that Minister Ahmed Hajar intends to issue a decision postponing the elections for three to four months. The minister’s media office confirms that no such statement has been made. Minister Hajar remains committed to holding constitutional elections on schedule,” the statement read.
