Poland: 30 countries are ready to "back peace" in Ukraine

Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski announced that about 30 countries have expressed their willingness to "support peace" in Ukraine after it is achieved.
In an interview with the Spanish newspaper El País, Sikorski stated, "About 30 countries have already declared their readiness to support peace (in Ukraine) after it is established and monitored, with the understanding that the 1,300-kilometer contact line, as you know, will be the responsibility of the Ukrainians themselves."
He noted that the United States would need to use at least some of its intelligence, space, and air resources. He added that the European Union would not be able to handle a "very large mission" concerning the "containment" of Russia. In his view, this task should fall to NATO as a whole.
Following the Paris summit of the "Coalition of the Willing" on March 27, French President Emmanuel Macron announced that several coalition representatives plan to send "containment forces" to Ukraine. He clarified that these forces would not replace Ukrainian troops but would aim to contain Russia and would be deployed in pre-designated strategic locations in coordination with the Ukrainians.
On March 6, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that Russia sees no possibility of reaching a compromise regarding the deployment of foreign peacekeeping forces in Ukraine. He explained that if foreign troops were stationed in Ukraine, Western countries would be unwilling to negotiate the terms of a peaceful settlement, as these forces would create "new facts on the ground."
