Watch: Efforts to Reopen Roads Blocked by Snow

The Ministry of Public Works announced on its account on X that its center in Jurd al-Qaitea – Akkar is ongoingly working to reopen the Qammouaa road in the highlands of Qobayat, after snowfall above 1,500 meters in Akkar Governorate cut off mountain roads.
It added: “The Qammouaa – Jouz al-Dara – Mrajhine – Hermel road remains closed due to ongoing snowfall, with a warning to drivers to avoid using it at night and during early morning hours until the weather system subsides.”
The ministry also stated: “In a related development, the Faqra center has reopened the Aayoun El Siman – Hadath Baalbek road, making it passable for the third time this season.”
