Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas called on Hamas to release the Israeli prisoners to avoid justifications for launching attacks on the Gaza Strip.
Abbas said during the opening of the Palestinian Central Council session in Ramallah: "You sons of dogs, release the hostages and free us from this problem," pointing out that "Hamas has given Israel a pretext to continue its crimes in Gaza, particularly the detention of hostages."
