Aoun Confirms May 24 Municipal Elections and Army Deployment in the South

President of the Republic Joseph Aoun received the Commander of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), General Aroldo Lázaro.
During the meeting, Aoun emphasized that "the Lebanese Army continues its deployment in the southern villages and towns vacated by Israel," adding that "municipal and mayoral elections will be held throughout the South on May 24."
