Watch: Armed clashes result in deaths and injuries

Armed clashes broke out in the city of Jaramana in the countryside of the Syrian capital, Damascus, amid official warnings from the Syrian government against any individual or collective actions that may threaten public security.
Videos and photos circulated on social media showed casualties, both killed and wounded, during the clashes, which extended to the Ashrafiyat Sahnaya area in the outskirts of Damascus.
At least two members of the public security forces were killed in the clashes around Jaramana, a city inhabited by people from various sects of Syrian society—especially after hundreds of thousands of people from different Syrian provinces moved there during the war that began in Syria in 2011.
