Lebanese Central Bank Governor Karim Souaid assured President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, that the central bank will uphold its independence, integrity, and immunity from all forms of external interference.
“We will work to preserve the independence and transparency of the Banque du Liban and protect it from any interference, regardless of the source,” Souaid stated, affirming that all actions will be guided by the law and aimed at serving Lebanon’s national interest.
