Aoun holds a series of meetings

President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, welcomed at Baabda Palace, Sheikh Akl of the Unitarian Druze Community, Dr. Sami Abi Al-Muna, accompanied by Judge Sheikh Ghandi Makarem.
Discussions reportedly covered the general situation in the country, the President's stances, and the outcomes of his official visits abroad, especially to the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
Sheikh Akl Al-Muna highlighted his efforts to "strengthen the national spiritual partnership in the country," and extended an invitation to President Aoun to attend a national cultural symposium on 'National Spiritual Partnership: An Umbrella for Reform and Salvation, called forte by the Cultural Society of Aley and the District, to be held at the El-Nahda Charitable Social Society building in Chanay
The discussion also addressed national issues and local and regional situations.
President Aoun also received, at Baabda Palace, Spanish Ambassador to Lebanon Jesús Santos Aguado, who delivered a written message from King Felipe VI to the President, inviting him to attend the 4th United Nations International Conference on Financing for Development, set to take place in Seville from June 30 to July 3.
At Baabda Palace, President Aoun also met with Tourism Minister Laura Khazen Lahoud, who briefed him on the ministry's work program and the measures taken to enhance tourism, particularly with the approach of summer and the expected arrival of many tourists from Arab and foreign countries.
Minister Lahoud stressed the Ministry’s readiness to keep pace with the tourist season according to a working mechanism that includes numerous procedures and arrangements to ensure a successful tourist season.
President Aoun later received Kataeb Party leader, MP Samy Gemayel, with whom he discussed an array of political issues, including the course of the municipal and mayoral elections.
Additionally, President Aoun received the head of the Central Inspection, Judge George Attieh, who presented the work of the Central Inspection in its various specialties.
