Makki, Norwegian Development Minister address public sector reform, digital governance in Beirut

Minister of State for Administrative Reform Fadi Makki met with Norwegian Minister of International Development Åsmund Aukrust, at his ministry office in Beirut. The meeting focused on Lebanon’s strategic vision for administrative reform and digital transformation, presented to key international partners.
Minister Makki emphasized that Lebanon’s comprehensive reform strategy, centered on modernizing public administration, advancing digital governance, and strengthening transparency, requires well-coordinated international support, highlighting Norway’s pivotal role in mobilizing such backing.
The Norwegian delegation reaffirmed their country’s solidarity with the Lebanese people and reiterated Norway’s continued support for initiatives that promote institutional integrity and rebuild trust between citizens and the state.
