Israel officially announces the assassination of Hamas commander

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced before the Knesset that the Israeli army had assassinated Hamas commander in Gaza, Mohammad Sinwar.
Mohammad Sinwar was one of Tel Aviv's most wanted individuals and the younger brother of the late Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar.
Two Palestinian sources confirmed to Asharq Al-Awsat a week ago that Mohammad al-Sinwar, the commander of the Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, was killed along with other senior brigade members in an underground tunnel during an airstrike near the European Hospital in eastern Khan Younis, southern Gaza Strip.
