Watch: Massive Avalanche Collapse

A massive avalanche struck southern Switzerland, partially destroying the small village of Platten, just a week after it had been evacuated due to imminent danger.

A video posted on YouTube shows a huge cloud of ice and debris rapidly rushing down the mountain slope toward the valley where the village is located.
