Watch: Fireworks Factory Turned to Rubble

Five people were killed and 34 others injured in a powerful explosion at a two-story fireworks factory in the northern Indian state of Punjab.
According to the Indian newspaper The Indian Express, the factory was reduced to rubble due to the intensity of the blast. The explosion was so massive that it completely destroyed the two-story building, trapping several people under the debris.
The newspaper noted that the identities of the deceased have not yet been confirmed. Most of the factory workers were reportedly migrants from the states of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.
A local official told The Indian Express: “Our teams reached the site without delay. So far, we have recovered five bodies from under the rubble, and rescue operations are still ongoing to ensure no one else is trapped.”
He added: “Around 34 people were injured and taken to various hospitals. According to current reports, all of them are in stable condition.”
Preliminary investigations suggest that both the manufacturing and packaging of fireworks were taking place at the site. Additionally, several workers were living inside the factory building.
