President Joseph Aoun received a written letter from Russian President Vladimir Putin through the Russian Ambassador to Lebanon, Alexander Rudakov. The message included an invitation to attend the first Russia-Arab summit, which will be held in Moscow on October 15. The summit aims to explore prospects for joint cooperation in political, economic, commercial, scientific, technological, humanitarian, and other fields.
