Minister’s Directive: Evacuate the Justice Palace Immediately

Justice Minister Adel Nassar has requested the President of the Mount Lebanon Court of Appeals, Judge Mirna Baida, to immediately evacuate and temporarily close the Baabda Justice Palace building until an alternative location is secured. The decision is based on a report by the Ministry of Public Works, which concluded that the building is structurally unsafe due to cracks and foundational damage, posing a risk to the safety of judges, employees, and citizens.
