President Aoun and family head to the Vatican to meet with the Pope

President of the Republic Joseph Aoun and First Lady Nehmat Aoun have left this afternoon from Rafic Hariri International Airport, heading to Rome for a visit to the Vatican. Pope Leo XIV is scheduled to receive President Aoun tomorrow in a private meeting, in line with the traditional protocol observed in relations between the President of the Republic and the Holy Father. The First Lady and family members will later join for a family gathering.
