President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, welcomed Chairman of Middle East Airlines (MEA), Mohammad El-Hout, who briefed him on the measures taken by the national carrier since the onset of the Israeli-Iranian confrontations, aimed at maintaining Lebanon’s air connectivity and organizing flight operations accordingly.
El-Hout emphasized that MEA’s primary concern was to ensure the continuity of flights within the constraints of regional airspace availability. He also confirmed that full coordination had been maintained with Minister of Public Works and Transport, Fayez Rasamny, throughout the process.
In turn, President Aoun expressed his appreciation for the efforts made by El-Hout, his team, and all MEA staff in sustaining air travel between Lebanon and the outside world.
Aoun also commended the close coordination between MEA, the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, and airport personnel, which contributed to the uninterrupted movement of flights in both directions.
